Kozee

Kozee is a South Carolina based DJ of 28+ years. He enjoyed a early career starting at the age of 20 from 1998-2008 playing events in SC, NC, GA and having club residencies across Myrtle Beach SC. Giving the crowds exactly what they asked for sharing the stage with many talented DJ along the way. Craze, Dieselboy, Dara, QBert, Empress, DJ Funk, Huda Hudia, Dave London, DJ X, Jeffee, FreakyFlow, and many more.

After settling down and starting a family in 2008 Kozee stayed busy doing the occasional club appearance and putting mixes out regularly on youtube, until meeting Columbia, SC based DJ Xpansion in 2021. He was gathering a small group of DJs and forming SCEDM LIVE, giving us a chance to get out and stretch our legs again in the community. Catching fire and inspiration from these talented individuals Kozee looked for more opportunities and joined a major charity stream on Twitch. The TWLOHA event a suicide prevention raid was the first stream performance and immediately became his new focus.

Pouring 60-90 hours a month into streaming live while falling in love with the amazing dance music community of viewers on twitch helped bring focus to a new direction in his late 40s. Always being a fan of breakbeats he turned his passion to Drum & Bass. Diving head first into old classics from the Techstep era really hammering in the smooth rollers and the dark gritty edges of the classic sound interweaving tracks with haunting melodies and vocals. Then dropping raw high energy neurofunk tracks all throughout to create mixes and performances that always leaves a crowd pleased and coming back for more. With a new focus and a new town to call home in 2026, Kozee is changing focus to stream less and moving to the next stage in his career and plans to get back to producing. With projects already in the works and almost 30 years of experience Kozee is definitely looking forward.

Kozee runs a monthly, Techstep Tuesday, raid on twitch every first Tuesday. for over 2 years running its been the only techstep focused event on twitch and it showcases some of the best drum & bass talent twitch has to offer. after 27 episodes it shows no sign of slowing down.
